Food Sorting for Families
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 18+
Volunteers will sort food and check expiration dates on food on November 24 and November 25 from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Those items will be used to make food boxes for families with the Family Resource Center for Wilson County Schools.

Receive & Organize Home Goods Donations
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 8+
Help FAM Essentials intake newly donated items at their warehouse in Lebanon. Volunteers are needed to receive the donations, organize them in the warehouse, and/or clean the items and put them away, all depending on how much you are comfortable doing. Volunteers are needed every Wednesday during November and December from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.

Delivery Volunteer with FAM Essentials
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 8+
Join FAM Essentials as they deliver furniture and home goods to foster families and families in need throughout Wilson County. Volunteers are needed on November 22 and December 13 from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.

Clothing Giveaway
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 13+
Nashville Dream Center in Lebanon is helping to make the holidays a little easier by giving out free breakfast, free haircuts, free diapers, free toiletries, and, of course, free clothing to people in need on December 5 from 8:30 AM-1:00 PM. Volunteers are needed to help in each of these areas.

Serve Lunch to Senior Adults
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 13+
Lebanon Senior Citizens Center serves lunch to 175-225 senior adults, Monday-Friday, and they need volunteers who are willing to help pass out plates and clean up after the meal. Opportunities are available every weekday from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM.

Be an Angel for an Older Adult this Holiday Season
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 1+
Many older adults in our community are struggling to meet basic needs, and extras are often out of reach. Help us show them they are valued and cared for this holiday season with small gifts that make a big difference. The Angel Tree Program benefits GNRC's Guardianship clients as well as Mid-Cumberland Human Resources Agency’s Meals on Wheels recipients.

Make Ornaments for Senior Adults
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 5+
Help spread holiday cheer by making handmade ornaments for the seniors at The Pavilion in Lebanon with Creative Hearts Collective. This opportunity can be done on your own in the comfort of your own home, dorm, or office. Ornaments are due by December 10. Residents will receive an ornament as a gift at their Christmas Joy event.

Christmas Joy with Creative Hearts Collective
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 18+
Join the fun and help spread Christmas Joy on December 17 by helping host a festive day at a local senior living facility with Creative Hearts Collective. The party will be filled with Treat & Social Time, Christmas Bingo, Pass the Present, Caroling, and more! Every resident will receive a handmade ornament crafted with love.

Midwest Food Bank Middle TN Food Distribution
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 18+
Midwest Food Bank distributes monthly over $100,000 worth of food to non-profit food agencies/pantries across Middle TN from a warehouse in Mt. Juliet. Volunteers are needed on December 17 to help load that food into trucks or vans and send them on their way. Cart pushers, record keepers, and loaders are all needed! A free lunch is provided for the volunteers once the work is complete.

Foster a Cat (short-term) for the Holidays

Pawster is looking for volunteers who are home for the holidays and want to help animals in need. If you are able to foster a cat for at least 1 week during Thanksgiving and the December holidays, then you can help!

Write Letters to Senior Adults
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 2+
Help bring some cheer to isolated seniors, seniors in nursing homes, and/or disabled individuals in our communities by sending them heartfelt letters, letting them know that we care and haven't forgotten about them. GNRC is looking for uplifting letters that will bring their recipients some joy! If you are interested in sending letters and/or art to seniors in the community, please express interest at the link below, and more details will be sent to you. Children are welcome to contribute, but an adult is required for minors to sign up.

JPM Food Pantry and Care Center
Minimum Age w/ Adult: 8+
Volunteers are needed weekly at Jesus Provisions Ministries and Care Center. Tasks include helping prepare food boxes, organizing the pantry, sorting clothes, and completing various administrative tasks. Days needed during November and December are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
