Midwest Food Bank Middle TN Food Distribution
Midwest Food Bank distributes monthly over $100,000 worth of food to non-profit food agencies/pantries across Middle TN from a warehouse in Mt. Juliet. Agencies arrive at a scheduled time; they shop for the food items they need; and then we load the food into their trucks or vans and send them on their way. We have a need for cart pushers, record keepers, and loaders. We begin at 7:45 am with a team huddle to get our work assignments. We are usually done by 11:30 when a free lunch is provided for the volunteers.
Things to Know: We are in a warehouse, so please wear closed-toe shoes. The warehouse is not climate-controlled, so dress appropriately. If you are a loader, feel free to bring gloves. Water is provided, but you can bring your own.
Midwest Food Bank (MFB) is the largest private food bank in the US, giving away over 1/2 billion dollars of food to over 2400 agencies in the US last year. The food is free to the agencies.
